Shalom Everyone, November is closer than we think and my European mission trip to Igbos in the diaspora is fast approaching. I wish to sincerely thank from the bottom of my hear everyone who has contributed to the trip to make it possible. Everything has gone smoothly up to this point. In all endeavors for the Adonai there is always a snag, a test of faith somewhere. I am still approx. $1200 short and there are some snags regarding the Germany and especially the London leg of the trip. Everything is set however for Ireland. Without getting into to many unnecessary details (GOD knows), please pray that it will all work out and come together for the Germany and London leg of the trip.
Thank you, Shalom,
R. Yehudah “Tochukwu” ben Shomeyr (Kris Shoemaker)
People have come to me and ask if I am afraid regarding the research presented by others that run contrary to my (and others) research regarding the origins of the Igbo. I for sure am not afraid, nor intimidated, yet I am naturally concerned for I see such scholarship as that of the theory of evolution. Any honest researcher will conclude such a theory as evolution is just that, an unproven theory. Sadly, even the most scholarly and intellectual can be gullibly duped and have fallen for the fallacy of evolution which has used unreliable dating methods, poor scholarship as well as presenting theories as if they were facts and as a result have had their faith shaken, become bitter and end up believing and promoting such falsehoods. Same in regards to those who claim Igbo are not Hebrews. Such falsehoods will lead one into spiritual bondage, the same bondage that caused Israel to be taken into Assyrian and Babylonian captivity and the same that caused Ndi Igbo to be taken off into slavery and be dispersed from Igboland. The evidences are there, plain and clear, on so many different levels if one cares to take an honest, prayerful and soul searching look.
I am not afraid because I have the Truth and the God of Israel on my side. God and His Words are not like that of Ba’al or any other false god that needs to be defended. The only thing I have to do is be obedient, present the Truth as it is, let the chips fall where they may and allow God to defend Himself as He did against the false prophets of Ba’al at Mt. Carmel. Besides, how can a finite, frail mortal think he can or should defend an Infinite Omnipotent God!?
Recently I due to well intended, yet misguided actions of another I have been unwittingly and unwillingly drawn into a futile argument filled with false accusations and untruths. This was first and only rebuttal to them:
"This is the first and last I will say in this group regarding this issue. My bio and my work is no secret and it is on the internet for all to see. One can choose to believe me or not. I am not out for a name or converts, I am simply doing what God has called me to do and what Eze Chukwuemeka-Eri asked me and commissioned me to do by researching and presenting that research which I am not a lone voice in this; Remy Ilona, Michael Caliben, Onwukwe Alaezi, Rabbi Gavriel Ogugua and many others hold the same views regarding the Igbo that I do and held them before I held them. I have nothing to gain or lose by doing so. True, people to read and follow my work but I have no formal students or followers. I may disagree with others regarding their belief about the Igbos and Israel, but I choose to agree to disagree agreeably. I neither promote nor endorse fighting or slander and in my work I call out no names. I simply present my findings and belief regarding those findings and occasionally present an opposing view with my rebuttal. I am not concerned with others views or research, I am simply doing what I know I am supposed to do and let others alone. Arguing and fighting is useless and senseless and in such there are no winners. There is no competition. Also, Eze Chukwuemeka-Eri is friend to both myself and Acholonu and is not taking sides in this issue for or against either of us. "
For this reason I recently added a disclaimer on the homepage that reads as such:
DISCLAIMER: Rabbi Yehudah, Igbo Hebrew.com, Igbo Friends of Israel, and Abraham's Descendants International does not promote nor endorse slander in regards to other persons, ministries and or organizations who oppose or have a differing opinion and or belief regarding the origins of Ndi Igbo.
Please know I wish to have no part in any circular debates or smear campaigns, I only wish to present the facts and findings and allow the individual to decide for themselves.
